After your visit to W/17, drop by the Finale Art File Tall Gallery (contact no, +632 813 2310) located at the same compound and check out the on-going exhibit of Monica Delgado and Michelle Pérez. Held until July 29, the joint exhibition called
“Painting in Trouble (Is a Temporary Thing)” currently opened last week.

The first time for the two artists to show their works together, this colorful and brilliant exhibition gathers their series of recent objects mainly produced using poured and layered acrylic paint: vividly-colored and viscous forms shaped through both controlling the medium and letting it flow.

These contemporary young artists explore in their own ways the possibility of painting without the tools of painting: perhaps pointing to how, within the practice of post-modern art, painting may not be in trouble, after all.
